GOETTL GIVES $4,200 IN SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO TEACHERS ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST
Company Also Delivers 120 School Supply-Stuffed Backpacks to Las Vegas Foster Youth
LAS VEGAS, August 27, 2024 – As children and teachers nationwide get back to school, Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing is proud to reveal that the company donated $4,200 to more than 20 teachers across multiple schools in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas. The National Education Association says that, on average, educators spend between $500 and $750 of their own money every year on things students need. “According to the U.S. Department of Education, 94 percent of teachers reach into their pockets to purchase classroom necessities. We’re proud to contribute through our Goettl Gives program to help teachers worry less about finances so that the focus remains on their students,” says Mollie Toland, Director of Communications at Goettl.
In addition, Goettl associates in Nevada stuffed and delivered 120 backpacks with essential school supplies for Las Vegas-area youths in foster care. Backpacks were delivered to Peggy’s Attic, the donation center for Clark County Family Services.
“It is important we support our area youth who may not have access to the tools that can make them successful at school. We are incredibly proud of our team’s generous efforts in the backpack drive so that foster kids have the tools they need to start the school year off right,” continues Toland.
