Trenchless Sewer Pipe Lining and Repair
Repeated backups in multiple drains may mean leaks or a broken sewer line from corrosion or shifting soil.
If you’ve noticed:
- An odd stench coming from your property
- Soft, muddy, or strangely lush patches of ground
- Multiple flushes required for toilets
- Repeated clogs in more than one drain
- Sudden rodent or insect infestations
Call Goettl San Antonio’s plumbing experts or schedule online for a free in-home assessment. We are San Antonio’s trenchless sewer repair experts.

We offer Trenchless Sewer Repair services such as:
- CIPP Lining – a thermoplastic lining sleeve is inserted into the broken sewer line then sealed, completely replacing the damaged pipe section. This emergency pipe repair lasts for decades, and resolves frequent clogs caused by imperfections in pipe interiors.
- Pipe “Bursting” – We “burst” the old pipe apart underground using a specialized steel head. The new pipe is then connected in its place. Some limited digging around the broken section is required.
- Localized Pipe Patching/Spot Repairs – Once we’ve located the damaged section with a camera scope, we seal it from the inside by inflating a rubber bladder that presses an epoxy-covered fiberglass patch against the leak. Perfect for small leaks or limited damage.
Trenchless Sewer Maintenance Services
Stop smaller sewer line issues like hard water mineral build up from becoming larger, costlier emergencies later with Goettl San Antonio’s Trenchless Sewer Maintenance service. Schedule your maintenance visit today.
Goettl’s Trenchless Sewer Maintenance services include:
- Preventative Hydro Jetting – A high-pressure spinning water nozzle clears organic debris, mineral scaling, and plant roots. Usually, one treatment every 2–3 years is usually all you’ll need.
- Camera Scope Check Up – We’ll inspect your entire sewer line with a camera to check for concerning issues like growing obstructions or surface cracks. Afterwards, we review our findings and recommend preventative or corrective options.
- Herbicidal Root Removal – Goettl San Antonio’s herbicide reduces plant roots growing inside your sewer line before they cause damage. Best for small root intrusions, but less reliable than other methods.

Goettl San Antonio’s Trenchless Sewer Maintenance provides lasting results and peace of mind. We remove debris, plant roots, and buildup constricting your sewer line while checking for interior damage before they grow into costly repairs.

Trenchless Sewer Services FAQ
How is Trenchless Sewer Repair different from traditional sewer line excavation?
Trenchless Sewer Repair avoids the additional labor costs, property disruption, and time commitment involved with sewer line trenching. By fixing your sewer line mostly or entirely from the inside, we can patch leaks, repair hard-to-reach pipes, or replace broken sections.
How quickly can Trenchless Sewer Repair be completed?
Nearly all trenchless sewer pipe repairs can be completed in a day or less, making them ideal for emergency repairs.
How strong are Trenchless Sewer Repairs compared to traditional pipe replacement?
The thermoplastic pipe linings and fiberglass spot patches used in trenchless sewer repairs are both durable and damage resistant. Pipe lining is extremely durable and has a 50-year life expectancy (about as long as the same pipes they help repair). All our pipe lining is backed by a10-year liner warranty from Goettl.
What makes CIPP, Pipe Bursting, and Localized Pipe Patching different?
Cured in Place Pipe lining inserts an epoxy-covered, thermoplastic sleeve into the broken pipe, where it cures in place using a powerful epoxy. Once it hardens, the new lining works the same as a replacement pipe, and even prevents clogs formed by interior cracks and imperfections in the original interior surface.
Pipe Bursting breaks the old, damaged pipe apart underground using specialized reenforced cutting head, then pulls a new section of pipe into place behind it. Local holes are dug around the break to accommodate the drilling and replacement setup.
Localized Pipe Patching (or Spot Repairs) involve using a camera scope and rubber bladder to affix a fiberglass patch over a small crack in the sewer line, or limited area of damage. Once the epoxy on the patch cures, the leak is sealed from the inside.
Which trenchless repair service do I need?
During your free in-home assessment, one of our plumbing experts will examine your sewer line with a camera scope and perform other tests to determine whether CIPP, Pipe Bursting, or Localized Pipe Patching is the best and most lasting course of action.
How often do I need preventative hydro jetting services?
One preventative hydro jetting session every two years should keep the average household plumbing system draining without issue. If you are experiencing more frequent sewer blockages, that may be a sign of a larger underlying issue.
Is chemical root removal better than excavation and cutting?
Using herbicide to kill intrusive roots inside your sewer line avoids disturbing, and potentially damaging, your pipes. It is preferred over excavation due to how minimally invasive the service is; however, it is less reliable than methods like hydro jetting, which is another trenchless solution that involves no digging.
