Trenchless Sewer Repair Services
Overflowing toilets or recurring clogs in several drains could mean your sewer pipe has been damaged by intrusive roots, corrosion, obstruction or shifting ground.
Symptoms of a broken sewage line include:
- Bad smells coming from your yard or beneath your home
- Spongy or especially lush patches of yard
- Multiple attempts required to flush wastewater down the toilet
- Frequent backups in several drains
- Unexplained pest infestation
- Bacterial growth spreading across walls
Call Goettl Phoenix (or schedule online) for a free assessment, or to schedule your trenchless sewer repair.

Our Trenchless Sewer Repair services include:
- Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining – An epoxy-covered, thermoplastic lining sleeve is inserted into the broken sewer line to cover the cracks or break and hardens in a few hours. This emergency repair lasts for decades.
- Pipe Bursting – After minimal digging around the sewer line break to accommodate equipment and pipe connections, we insert a drilling head to break apart the old pipe and pull a replacement pipe into place behind it. Much faster than digging up your entire sewer line.
- Spot Repairs/Localized Pipe Patching – After locating the damage with a camera scope, we place an epoxy-covered fiberglass patch over the crack using a rubber inflator. Great for smaller repairs.
Concerned about a foul stench from your property? Backed up drains getting out of hand? Goettl Phoenix’s friendly team offers free in-home assessments. We’ll get to the root of the problem and solve it quickly.
Trenchless Sewer Maintenance Services
Goettl Phoenix’s Trenchless Sewer Maintenance keeps your sewer line clog-free, so that you stay stress-free. Our routine trenchless sewer maintenance saves you time, money, and hassle by avoiding preventable, costly repairs down the road.
Goettl Phoenix’s Trenchless Sewer Maintenance offerings include:
- Hydro Jetting – A high pressure, spinning water nozzle is inserted into your sewer line. This high-velocity spray clears out any organic debris, mineral scaling, and invasive roots impeding your pipe’s drainage. Hydro Jetting scours your sewer line clean in less than an hour and the results last for up to two years.
- Camera Scoping – Using the latest in camera scoping tools, we examine your entire sewer line for growing clogs, leaks, or concerning issues. Post-inspection, we’ll let you know what we found and the next steps to take.
- Chemical Root Treatment – Saturating your sewer line with herbicide, any invasive plant roots wither away before they can damage or clog your pipes. This method is not suggested for extensive root intrusion.

With Goettl Phoenix’s trenchless sewer maintenance, your plumbing avoids accumulating clogs from organic debris and hard water scaling, as well as the corrosion and leakages that can follow.

Trenchless Sewer Services FAQ
What are some benefits of Trenchless Sewer Repair over traditional excavation?
With Trenchless Sewer Repair, you avoid the time, mess, and labor costs of invasive digging on your property. Because of this, trenchless sewer repair is preferred for both leak patching and repairing hard-to-reach pipes.
What’s faster? Trenchless Sewer Repair or sewer line excavation?
Unlike traditional sewer line excavation, most trenchless sewer pipe repairs can be completed in a day.
Are Trenchless Sewer Repairs long-lasting?
All trenchless sewer repairs should last for decades. Trenchless repair with a pipe liner has a 50-year life expectancy, backed by 10-year liner warranty from Goettl.
What’s the difference between CIPP, Pipe Bursting, and Localized Pipe Patching?
All methods offer long-lasting, durable repairs to your sewer line, though are achieved through different methods.
Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) is a durable lining that can be collapsed and pulled through the existing line, then expanded and cured inside the pipe and seal it (here at Goettl we use a steam curing process). CIPP works best for or hard-to-access sewer lines.
Pipe Bursting breaks apart the damaged pipe with a specialized metal head underground, before replacing it with a new section of pipe. This service requires digging on either side of the broken line to accommodate equipment but avoids the larger disruption of full trench digging.
Localized Pipe Patching uses a fiberglass patch to cover a small crack or limited area of damage in your sewer line. Our team uses a camera scoping tool to locate the damage and an inflatable rubber bladder to affix the patch over the crack. Once the patch is cured and sealed, the bladder deflates and comes back out.
Which trenchless repair or maintenance service is best?
There’s no single best trenchless option. Each method has its advantages depending on the size, location, and extent of the damage in the pipe.
When you call Goettl Phoenix for a free in-home assessment, one of our plumbing experts will examine your sewer line with a camera scope, then help determine the quickest, best, and most effective solution that causes minimal disruption to your home and yard.
How often do I need preventative hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting should keep your drainage flowing issue-free for at least two years, removing scale and buildup and any obstructions in the line. Every hydro jetting is accompanied by a camera inspection to establish the health of your sewer line and ensure that no further repair is needed.
Are there any benefits to chemical root removal?
By using an herbicide to wither invasive plant roots inside your sewer line, you avoid the risk of damaging or disturbing your pipes through traditional excavation and root cutting methods. It should be noted that chemical root removal is ideal only for small root intrusion, and is less effective than hydro jetting or other more thorough methods.
