Many of the San Antonio team are born and raised San Antonians, committed to making the community a better place to live and work. Animal welfare is very important to Goettl San Antonio, which previously partnered the Animal Defense League of Texas, a non-profit organization that rescues homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, and provides medical treatment, nutrition, and shelter in a safe, live-release facility until they are matched with their forever families.

Most recently, Goettl proudly partnered with K9s for Warriors, the nation’s largest provider of service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other military-related traumas. On October 23, 2024, we had the privilege of celebrating the graduation of Flash, our sponsored service dog, who was paired with Air Force Veteran and Warrior, Gregory. This special ceremony took place at Warrior Ranch in San Antonio, Texas, where Flash and Gregory officially became a team. Seeing Flash and Gregory form a powerful bond and knowing they will support each other in this next chapter inspires all of us at Goettl.

This week the HVAC tech, Deano came to do the winter service. I knew my system was old, and Deano was courteous when explaining all the things my system needed. He patiently walked through the options and helped me determine a realistic solution for my home and for my budget! From Deano who initially came out because we had no heat to working with Mike after we decided replacement of such an old system was our best decision to Nick’s installation. They had to do a lot of work due to our old system not being wired or insulated properly. He spent a long time making sure everything was down right. Jose Carreon was the tech who was dispatched to look into a problem of a brand new system not working correctly after a new install. Jose was very methodical in his approach and found the actual issue which was not an install issue except the settings of the thermostats which were replaced and installed by Goettl. Jose's complete inspection and patience resolved the problem and he went the extra mile of calling a supervisor for a second opinion. The system is now running as it should!!! Thanks Jose!!

I asked them to come out for my annual heater service…they were so professional on the phone, and the tech was so good, (Wish I could remember his name, guy was fantastic) that I called back and signed up for a/c and water heater service. They said I needed to replace my a/c. I was given a choice of 5 units. I liked that the 2nd most expensive would balance the temperature in my house. I get full west in my living room in the afternoon. It is always 10 plus degrees hotter on my sofa, than rest of house. So I paid a fortune and it isn't doing what he said it would. They came back and added another vent to my living room. Better, but still not what I was told. I could saved $10k and got the cheaper model. Don't think I have much recourse to get this fixed. The technicians are very good, too bad their salesmen and products are not up to the same standard.

I'm reviewing Goettl’s maintenance inspections for HVAC and plumbing. Chris was our HVAC specialist, he was very thorough and pointed out some new things on the app. Chris’ inspection revealed we had mold in our plenum, in the early stages. He gave us options, including the nil option, the maintenance and inspection were free. Kudos to Brent , our plumbing specialist came back the same day when we blew out our disposal, after he had left. I have a 13-year-old home that has aging utilities. Pablo arrived in the window that was promised. He was very efficient when something wasn’t working quite right. He found another workaround to inspect my heating system. He cleaned off the firing point with sandpaper as I’ve seen many other technicians. Do he inspected everything took pictures of everything and sent the pictures to me. He asked if I would be interested in a price on a new system. I told him not at this time there was no hard sell. My system is now 21 years old. I plan to replace the heater and air conditioner, but not for another few years. I found four seasons to be excellent and Goettl to be just as good.

Today, Rodell did a thorough clean-out of our bathroom sink drains, including sending the camera down to check for build up out to the main connection to the sewer. This was included in our membership with no extra charge. He and his partner also found the mystery leak in the guest bathroom toilet and replaced the guts and seals. The thing I liked the best was his advice about maintenance and how that little hole in the sink is a real drain that also needs flushing out by letting the sink fill up periodically. We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. When they delivered it, they said they could not install the water line. We were not familiar with plumbers so we asked our neighbor who did the plumbing in his new shower. He said Goettl and he was very happy with the results. I called them they sent out a wonderful servicemen, Gerardo Gonzalez. The builders had used 3/8” pipes and Lowe’s seemed to only have 1/4” connectors. Gerardo solved our problem and we had to get Lowe’s out again the next day to finish the install. We highly recommend Goettl and appreciate the caliber of their staff!

Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time.
