GOETTL’S INAUGURAL PROTECH BOOT CAMP CELEBRATES 100% GRADUATION RATE

Next Generation Plumbers and HVAC Techs Celebrated at Ceremony

In a ceremony that took place Friday, May 3, Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing celebrated the graduating class of the company’s inaugural ProTech Boot Camp. Tailored for individuals with little or no experience in the trades, the paid 8-week training program took only 16 candidates: eight plumbers and eight HVAC techs. The program achieved a 100 percent graduation rate, and all students were offered full-time jobs with Goettl.

“I really hope this boot camp continues,” says graduate Kalif Silva-Giersdorf. “I would like other people to have this opportunity as well because it really helped me out, and I’m really grateful for this program.”

“[The program] is meant to teach our folks the basics so that they have a good, strong understanding, and then we will help them to grow through the Goettl Academy and on-the-job training so they can have the careers they are looking for,” says John Hudson, ProTech Boot Camp Training Facilitator.

Among graduation attendees were Ken Goodrich, Goettl’s Chairman and founder, and Ken Evans, member of Nevada’s Governor’s Workforce Development Board.

“We are thrilled to celebrate all these young men and women who put in the hard work over the past couple of months to embark on a rewarding career journey. We are blessed to have them join our Goettl family. HVAC and plumbing work involves helping people live and work in a safe and comfortable environment with access to clean water and air. These trades are essential, and employment prospects are expected to burn brightly for quite some time,” says Goodrich.

The program’s comprehensive training took place at Goettl’s state-of-the-art training facility in Las Vegas, offering a blend of classroom lectures, hands-on labs, and invaluable field experience with seasoned professionals.

At my last inspection, I was told I needed the coils cleaned and freon added. Bayden came to my house, inspected the coils and the freon. He suggested the coils be cleaned but the freon was not needed. I appreciated his honesty. He was very professional and helpful, and I would definitely recommend him as a very courteous employee.

We got a massive more more than 2,000 water bill, we immediately called to make sure there wasn't some crazy flooding. Caleb went above and beyond to resolve the issue going way out of his way and proved it wasn't our lines that were the issue. He also let us know what replacing a line that could be a problem in the future could be and if that comes to pass we'll definitely be using them again. Absolute banger of a job and Caleb killed it, and the water company realized we didn't waste multiple Olympic pools worth of water and refunded us too in no small part thanks to this company and at a reasonable price, thanks!

My a/c started blowing hot at 4:00. I called Goettl at 4:30. They said a tech would arrive between 7:00 & 9:00. At 8:50 Hunter called to say he would arrive in 10 minutes. He climbed an extension ladder in the dark to the second floor roof and had it up and cooling within an hour! First time using Goettl very impressed!
