How to Prepare Your HVAC System for the Heating Season

A/C quit (6 + years old). Called after 5:30 pm on a Friday (very polite/ professional conversation; easy appointment scheduled). Goettl was at my house in 2 hours and my A/C working shortly thereafter (Wow). Got to meet one of their very professional technicians who is also very personable. He quickly identified two broken components (I watched him take the measurements) and he provided replacement options and pricing, and advice on how to maintain the A/C unit in the future. I opted to purchase Goettl's maintenance agreement which saved me money (on the spot)- an easy decision- and replace broken parts. Technician was very fast with the repairs, and my A/C was up and cooling. I really appreciated his advice on how to better maintain (my compressor) and may opt to upgrade it in the near future (I had already researched a soft-start kit). Technician provided an outstanding report/ photos of the repairs along with bill for services rendered (very detailed) and easy payment via credit card. Technician turned an anxious two hours into a very positive experience, and I am thankful knowing that I can count on him and the Goettl family to handle any A/C or plumbing issues I may have in the future. Goettl has earned my trust. Definite recommend.

Dylan Gibson was highly professional and respectful, as expected from my experience with all Goettl employees so far. Dylan expertly performed my HVAC summer maintenance but went above and beyond by explaining the current condition of my system. He showed me how he was able to tell that my system is operating well, but also went he recommends a fan hard-start kit. His professionalism instills in me trust that I'm not being swindled and that Goettl will always help steer me in the best direction to care for my system.

The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Service was wonderful. I’m definitely going to keep using this company for my ac and furnace maintenance.

Ralph Martinez was the plumber who installed the water softener and water filter at our house. He was professional and quickly installed the system. He then provided a thorough walk through of how to use and care for the system.

Dylan came to my house to make sure my AC system was up to par. It was a great experience and he made us feel taken cared of. I would recommend Dylan and will be requesting him for future visits. We can’t have any animals in our home because my 3 year old son has asthma and Dylan was nice enough to give my son a stuff animal dog and a flashlight. Two things my son loves. Christian was awesome got me foxed same day quote was 1000 dollars less than another company tried to charge for same service. I can’t recommend them enough and def ask for Christian he is incredibly thorough whereas many wouldn’t have done the detailed work Christian did.

So I thought I needed a minor repair, when I told them that the AC wasn’t working they insisted on coming the next day. Well turned out to be a major repair and they were able to accomplish that the next day. Stacy Was very informative. Explain exactly what was going on and that it was gonna be an expensive repair but I can’t live without AC. They arrived the next day Parts in hand and Stacy and Hector accomplish the repair and the next day. now, My AC was working like new. Awesome service! Appreciate that after given an estimate I was given option to supply the parts and just pay for installation of a new thermostat. That worked best for me and scheduling was immediate once I got the thermostat. Brandon was friendly and knowledgeable did a great job!

Erick provided exceptional service above and beyond my expectations to include helping me troubleshoot the lightbulb in my attic. My ac went out this morning. Called Goettl and they had a tech out within 3 hours. Jarrett was very helpful and informative. He got the system back up and running in a couple hours. I went ahead and decided to purchase a new unit. He walked me through the process and made it super easy! New AC unit will be installed Monday. Awesome customer service!

First of all, the repair technician arrived at my home much sooner than expected … especially because it was an after hours call. I really appreciated that. Joc was professional, courteous, and thorough. After his examination of the leak, it was determined that the problem was more serious than expected. We were beyond impressed with the customer service and service we received. We contacted them about our AC needing repaired as we had been unable to troubleshoot the problem. They rearranged their schedule and had a technician to our house in less than an hour. It required extensive testing to figure out the problem. He thought he was going to have to come back the next day to do the repairs as it was late however he was determined to get it running for us that day due to the heat and successfully got our AC running that evening. In addition, the company followed up the next morning to make sure everything was running smoothly! So impressed! Thank you for rescuing us!

First time customer. They came out quickly and were very communicative. They diagnosed the issue and explained everything to me so well. It turns out I had a small leak which resulted in low Freon and the radiator froze over in the middle of summer! They got it working same day and offered amazing service. I was excited to sign up for their membership which was a huge discount and had free inspections and add ons. Thank you Russ for providing great service and teaching me a few things.

My house is a Goettl house. ROBERT B came to replace the hoses on my water softener. Robert was very knowledgeable. He told me that the chlorine in the water damages the water softener. That same day MASON came to install my new water softner. It was a bundle so I was given a free reverse osmosis water filter unit. It's under my sink with its own separate faucet. Its so cool because they connected it to my refrigerator so now I don't have to buy filters. MASON was very friendly with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable. Mason had originally came to rejuvenate my ac units. It turned out that my AC units were on there way out. I had the option to have them rebuilt or replaced. I just purchased 2 new units. They have a plan level for everyone. Mason even helped me complete my financing paperwork. 8 am this morning TAYLOR and ANTHONY came to install the new units. They were here 10 1/2 hours. Taylor and Anthony were amazing. These Goettl technicians work so hard. If I had to walk up and down my stairs as many times as they did while carrying all that equipment, I'd have passed out. KEN in the office is the man that holds it all together. Don't be fooled by all the HVAC commercials and ads. Go with Goettl. If I didn't have confidence in Goettl I wouldn't have spent $60,000 (1/2 cash and financed the rest) on new AC units and a water softener.

I needed service for my water heater after an inspector for the sale of my home found what appeared to be a leak. My service was scheduled very rapidly and the service person that came out was Deonte Wilson. He was very courteous, professional and efficient. He checked both water heaters. He went up in the attic and checked for leaks. He did everything that anyone could ever expect to be done, and he found that the overflow tanks were failing. I asked him to do an estimate which he did right away. He did not have the replacement tanks on his vehicle so he had to go and pick them up. He came back and installed them and wrote up a receipt to show everything that he did with pictures of before and after for me to give to the inspection team for my house closing. I couldn’t have asked for a better service person to take care of the issue. I would recommend ghetto and especially Deonte Wilson anytime for a project that you may need help with kudos to Deonte. They were in and out efficiently while still doing quality work and answering all of our questions. The extra touch that really stood out was when one of the technicians gave my son a little stuffed dog. He's been carrying it around and cuddling it all night! Initial assessment was done by Alberto Martinez, who was thorough, professional & clearly explained issues. He worked hard to ensure I got the best results while saving me money. One night, he worked until midnight attempting to resolve a problem. He said he did not want to leave me with no A/C in this heat. Another tech (didn’t get his name) joined him at 11:30pm to help. Kalif Silva-Girtsodorf came the next morning to get it resolved - and did not charge me an additional dime. They were phenomenal. Tina & Anthony were great in the duct work. Fabian & Geni did the insulation & were also outstanding. Price was reasonable. I am very impressed with the Goettl team. Far better than other companies I’ve used here in Vegas. Professional, knowledgeable & honest.

Called Goettl @ 12:05pm. Appointment was scheduled between 12 & 2pm. Armando called at about 12:30p saying he was on his way. He stated about 30min until arrival. He arrived at 12:50p. He was quick to induce himself and get right into the investigation. He pointed out exactly what he found & explained repair costs. He demonstrated his monitoring app and findings there. Armando finished the repair at approximately 1:45pm. He worked very efficiently, plus did not mind questions. Armando, through Goettl, did an excellent job. We had our appointment last week, and while we haven’t completed the work yet, I wanted to leave a review based on the assessment, estimating and scheduling experience so far because it stood out. After dealing with a stressful and complicated plumbing situation and getting multiple opinions, Brent was the most thorough person that came out. He took the time to understand the situation, explain what he was seeing, and walk through options without pressure or scare tactics. I especially appreciated the discussion around what needed to be addressed now versus what could reasonably wait, along with the pros and cons of each approach. The service manager and scheduling process were also responsive, clear, and easy to work with. The estimate felt thoughtful and straightforward, and pricing felt fair for the scope discussed.

I’ve used Goettl for Plumbing multiple times. Brent took the time to really explain what he was doing and why. Will absolutely request him moving forward!

Three days after moving into a new house our AC stopped working. Went to Goettl’s website and was able to schedule an appointment in the middle of the night for the next day. Saul arrived during the appointment window. He was kind and professional and answered all of my questions. He assessed and fixed the issue and we had our AC back by lunch. A little expensive but definitely recommend.

The other day we had to have our existing indoor unit reinstalled due to a loud noise. Two gentleman, Jose and D, worked on our unit and did some clean up in our attic. They did a fantastic job, showing us before and after pictures, and it is working great. I would use this company before any others, they are on time, professional and walk you through every step. It’s nice to have a company you can depend on.

Very pleasant, efficient, professional and personable technician. We really liked him. He was on time! The AC system compressor repair as well as annual AC maintenance was done quickly. The technician gave us an estimate for a recommended maintenance and also an estimate for a replacement of our aging system. He was not a pushy salesman. He just gave us the facts. We will continue with the annual maintenance program.

Julian and Mauricio were Wonderful. I had to have pipes replaced all over my house and I had no water for a few days. These guys came in and got it all done in one and my dogs even liked them. I am really glad that I called Goettl.

Update 05/29/2026: Stacy came to my house today for my semi-annual AC inspection. I received a phone call from him prior to his arrival, as I had requested. He is a very nice guy and we chatted in my garage for a few minutes getting to know one another. I am very impressed by his demeanor- he is very polite and very respectful. After the pleasantries he got to work on my AC unit. He updated me on the status of the unit and gave me some suggestions to help it run better. No Hard Sell here just the facts ma'am. Anyway please know how much I appreciate the technicians that always come out to my house. Again they are always professional and respectful and it is a pleasure for me to have them servicing my home. Thanks again and keep doing the work you do I had the pleasure of meeting Jesus P. today when he came to my house to figure out why my A/C was not working properly. What a nice guy! He was very respectful and polite and answered all of my questions. He found out what the issue was and got the system up and cooling off once again I've always been impressed by the service techs that work for Goettl and Jesus just reinforced that! Anthony came out to do a maintenance service on our air conditioner. He found a couple of problems and after explaining everything very thoroughly, at our request replaced the bad parts. I find Goettl a very good company to work with and Anthony was super. A+ for both of them.

Brent Sloan was great! He really took his time to make sure he thoroughly checked fur any leaks when I noticed water damage in my bathroom. He went the extra mile for my peace of mind.

Had some work and estimates done by these folks over the years and they’re consistently great. Decided to finally leave a review after a recent attic insulation estimate from Chris who reinforced their excellent track record.

Brent did a great job helping me out with some issues I was having at my house. I originally called him to service my water softener system as it was malfunctioning and I didn’t have soft water. He was able to diagnose the problem straight away. As it turns out my pressure reducing valve at the street was the culprit. After attempting to locate it we found out that the home builder never properly protected it when it was installed as they just buried it without a valve box. Brent had to dig up a good part of the ground around my meter box just to find it. When he tried shutting off the water using the homeowner shutoff valve the handle snapped right off as it had been buried with the PRV and had rusted through. I looked at the original builders install and it was a mess. A bunch of random 90 degree bends in the pipes for no reason. Brent ended up having to replace the irrigation shutoff valve as well. After all this the water pressure in my house (which was reading at 30 PSI, way too low and had been a problem my wife and I were dreading calling someone out to diagnose and fix) increased by 30 PSI. Not only did the water softener start working properly, but we were finally able to get enough pressure in the house to have more than one person shower at a time! While he was ensuring all the faucets and plumbing fixtures were working properly after the repairs he noticed that our garbage disposal was leaking (a problem my wife and I knew about and that I had already purchased a replacement but hadn’t got around to installing) and was able to install a new one for me in no time. The peace of mind that we have knowing that Brent installed and repaired everything properly will keep us coming back to Goettl for our plumbing needs. I couldn’t be happier with the way this whole situation was able to get resolved. He showed up early, was extremely professional the entire time, helped educate me as a homeowner showing me some tips on how to ensure my system was working to the best of its ability. What I anticipated as an hour or two repair turned into an all day affair, but Brent was able to work the problem so efficiently and effectively that me and my family were only out of water for around 30 minutes. Brent was professional and communicated with us through the whole process making us feel well informed about everything that was going on. He was very transparent with all of the pricing on what needed to be done along with potential contingencies that could arise due to the nature of the problem we were having. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience throughout. What started out as a minor problem turned out to be a much larger one. With Brent’s help it turned in to a minor inconvenience and peace of mind knowing my home plumbing system will be working properly for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend Brent if you are having plumbing issues. If any of the higher ups are reading this, give him a raise. I will definitely be coming back and recommending your company to everyone I know that has plumbing issues due to my experience with Brent.

Robert provided great service. This company and Robert saved me from being ripped off by the other plumbing vendor, let me explain. Right from the jump, I called this company to help me out of a bad situation. The person on the phone was kind enough to listen as I was stressed and got Robert out within like 30-40 minutes. That part was shocking already. But I literally had another plumber at the house from another company, who was called out(scheduled) to flush the water heater and fix a faucet issue in the upstairs tub. Hours later after this other company failed to go to the store and buy the correct cartridge for the faucet (a second wasteful trip), and he still struggled to fix it and put the faucet back on correctly, they were claiming of some blow out issue to the house and emergency plumbing repairs were needed at a price of estimated $8,000 to $15,000. First thing i thought was, how did i get in this nightmare. Is this similar to that whole taxi cab scam of longhauling. Thankfully , Robert showed up as the other vendor/plumber did not want to stick around. Would you believe they even left without me paying any fees and they said they would work that out with me later. Robert then shows, hears my issues and what not, fixes the faucet upstairs, tests the water levels, cleans out the little screens inside the end of the faucets, even fixed a small issue with the toilet tank that kept running that I was unaware of as he investigated the house thoroughly, spent over 2 hours helping to flush out the water lines and restore everything I really needed. He even confirmed that another vendor I use for the water osmosis filters and who handles the water softener (and a suggested replacement by many), he confirms if I can get that vendor out there the next day for the price they were quoting, I should do it. Now that is building trust. He even advised me on the better option to the unit that is better for me and the house, again, not their service and not benefitting from that other vendor doing the work. Utlimately, Robert saved me from a wasteful expense to another vendor, who was trying to rip me off. Shameful that this occurs, but glad to know not every business is like this. Go with Robert and Goettl servicing. Ps, they charged me nothing for this initial consultation and work performances. They are establishing a quality business relationship and advised me on steps i may need for the house going forward, without pressure, giving me time to evaluate.

After I explained the issue, they got straight to work, quickly identifying the problem and performing a thorough evaluation of my system. This was actually the second air conditioning company I called in the past two week. The first, D & H Heating and Cooling, charged me a $480 and didn’t fix the issue. In contrast, Goettl came out within an hour and discovered that a wire had been connected incorrectly, causing both my heater and air conditioner to run at the same time. I had my HVAC serviced today by Kevin. He was fast, friendly and professional. Kevin showed me pictures he had taken of my system, showing external ducting that had collapsed. We then connected with Jeromy to setup all the details. Ductwork to be repaired tomorrow. The water heater was found to be leaking and needed to be replaced. That too will be done tomorrow. I was very satisfied with all the services provided today.

Yesterday we had a plumbing inspection, which was part of our Sadie membership and Blair was our technician. He was so thorough, helpful and informative. He put us at ease with what our system look like and also was able to show us things that needed to address. He was able to give us quotes for the future work that should be completed. They didn’t pressure us to rush into anything. Blair is a great representative of Goettl. We are always so pleased with their technicians , management team and their customer service team as well.

Troy was amazing! He came to look at our HVAC system thermostat. It has not been working properly. He spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting the thermostat. Couldn’t find anything really wrong. Just to be certain, he replaced the inner workings of the hard-wired thermostat. He encouraged us to call again if it continues to malfunction. He was on time, professional and courteous. We stand by Troy and Guettel!!!

So this review is is for service over the past year. A short history. A few years ago, we had four seasons put in a new furnace. After checking around and getting tons of estimates, there was as much as a $10,000 difference between all of the estimates. Four seasons came in at the best price. Unfortunately, I ordered an 80,000 BTU furnace and when the guy was done, I looked at the furnace and saw that it was a 60,000 BTU. I showed the guy the invoice and basically his response was ‘ Oh crap’ so I talk to the manager and he assured me that 60,000 BTU would heat my home sufficiently since it was a high-efficiency unit. I was ready to have them tear it out and put the right one in, when the manager guaranteed the furnace and gave me the price for the 60 KBTU with a substantial discount. I did the regular maintenance and service service with four seasons. When Goettl took over, I’m not sure if they just change the name, or bought four seasons, but everything changed after that. First I was informed of a membership called Sadie which is basically a yearly/monthly fee that allows us to get a lot of benefits. Free service calls, free, free preventative maintenance and discounts on non-covered items. The first thing that I noticed was Josh came in to do a service, check the pressure and saw that the original installation guy did not convert my furnace to propane. Apparently none of the other service people ever checked the pressure. He had to return with the correct parts and changed out the valve. He also helped me out with a bathroom heating duct that was ripped. The price was great and he said he felt bad that we had such issues with the previous company. A few months later (last Saturday) we stopped getting heat. I called Goettl let them know, and they were at my house within two hours. When it’s freezing outside or going to be subzero it’s really important when they respond so quickly. Chris was the technician and he found the problem, however, the plumbing supply company was not open till Monday morning. Two days with sub, freezing temperatures scaring me a bit. Chris said that he would check with Dispatch and see if they had a couple of space heaters. When he was leaving, he noticed we had a bunch of firewood on the front and he offered to help bring firewood in. I told him no problem we had it, he said he was happy to help us. Make sure we had enough firewood to get through two days. These two offers, were above and beyond in something you really wouldn’t expect from your HVAC people. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any space heaters at Dispatch, so we went to Home Depot and got some radiator heaters and then yes 24 hours a day kept a fire going. Chris showed up Monday about 11 AM with the parts and it took him about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix all of the problems. I’m not savvy with all of the HVAC terms, but something about condensate water bill backed up through the system blah blah blah… we now have heat. lol. Getting the Sadie member membership/club was the best thing we decided to do. They call us regularly to schedule our summer and winter maintenance. They are responsive. And they are very polite every time I call them. I really would recommend you contacting them and get on that membership before you actually need them. Thank you, Josh and chris and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the female technician that came out and changed our filters but she was awesome also!

Andrew Morgan came out to do a routine check for my AC after it was installed a year ago. Great service and explained everything in a way that was helpful and effective. Definitely recommend

We just had the duct cleaning done so looking forward to dust free heat and AC in the summer. A $499 special! Veronica was great! She and her partner took great care with our home and were done in a very reasonable amount of time given the size of our home and the number of registers and other vents! I highly recommend you take advantage of this service if you haven’t had it done yet or has been over 7 years!😊

Had water coming through the wall all of a sudden one day. Robert Burrer from Goettl showed up and was very helpful, informative, and very respectful! Was also knowledgeable and provided top notch service. Would definitely use Goettl again and request Robert as the technician. Plumbing repairs are never fun but he helped keep us informed to make the best decisions, come up with a plan, and also a solution. Now just have to get the work completed later this week! Woke up to no heat in our house burrrr I have seen Goettl vans all over town and so I called them. Got appointment right away and the Technician, Jef Eusepi, took care of our problem.

Had Amanda come out to do regular maintenance on my heating system in case it ever decides to turn cold here in central TX. She was polite and knowledgeable and pointed out some issue I ended up having her take care of for me. She wasn’t pushy at all with selling these services and I would highly recommend her.

This was my second time using Goettl, and they have proved that they are great. This time, I needed a water shut-off valve replaced urgently, and Brent was here the same day! He was patient explaining my options, offered insight about my water pressure, and took care of the problem fast. He was neat as a pin, and I would happily use this service again!

This is how a service/install company should work. Price was exactly as quoted and was very fair, comparing to multiple others. They never tried to add on extras like all the others did. Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time. Best for last, the system works perfectly and is super quiet Why can't more companies do business like this.
