Scottsdale Tip: Is the SEER Rating of My AC System Important?

We called Goettl to schedule annual HVAC maintenance. They booked an appointment with us but called the next day to let us know a technician was in our neighborhood and offered to come early. The technician, Lupe was polite, thorough and did a terrific job giving us a rundown of our HVAC status. He cleaned and serviced both units, inside and out. Today we had Goettl A/C technician Chris come out for an inspection as to why water was leaking through our ceiling. He was very thorough and checked everything that would cause it. He took his time and found the issue. He gave us an estimate as to what it would cost for the repair. He then explained to our landlord and our landlord approved the repair. If any of you need anything pertaining to A/C repair, please call Goettl A/C and Plumbing and ask for Chris to come out. He is awesome.

Had a plumbing leak. Max came out right away. He quickly found the leak and fixed. After seeing how good he was, I added other plumbing services I needed. He explained everything clearly and was very knowledgeable. I appreciated his great customer service. Highly recommend him for any plumbing needs.

We were very impressed with the Goettl technician that was assigned to check our HVAC. Robert was thorough in checking our HVAC. He explained everything in detail as to what he did and what additional repairs that were needed. Alex Nelson was very honest and up front with me... He offered me options plans what I can do.. He didn't pressure me on just selling parts or replacing the whole unit... At the end of the day we decided to change out the unit. I glad I called Goettl

This review is pretty late but I wanted to make sure that technician Trevor Harr was acknowledged for his knowledge and professionalism. Trevor came to my home and was able to narrow down my issue rather quickly after a few questions and some diagnosis. He had us cooling in no time.

Parker, the hvac tech came out and was very polite and professional. Extremely knowledgeable about the issues regarding our units and quickly identifed the problem. He had it fixed and running before the house had a chance to warm up.

Trevor with HVAC at Goettl Austin arrived at our home to fix some AC issues we discovered later in the evening. Trevor was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and his customer service was fantastic. the level of care given by this company is top of the line! our ac went out sunday night & another company could get us seen thursday, which wasn’t going to be helpful with a 9mo & 3yo. google sent a form and then i wasn’t instantly in communication with a person. by midnight i was scheduled for next day service. before my scheduled time, betty called to see if i was available for an earlier time, ABSOLUTELY! our tech alex nelson was here in 45 minutes. he was able to quickly assess our issue and had everything back to working order by the next hour. had awesome recommendations & explained things thoroughly to my family, while entertaining all the kid questions!

Goettl came through in the clutch (on a Sunday!) when our AC went out. Their technician Robert Rodriguez had the parts on hand to get our system blowing cold air again. A/C quit (6 + years old). Called after 5:30 pm on a Friday (very polite/ professional conversation; easy appointment scheduled). Goettl was at my house in 2 hours and my A/C working shortly thereafter (Wow). Got to meet one of their very professional technicians who is also very personable. He quickly identified two broken components (I watched him take the measurements) and he provided replacement options and pricing, and advice on how to maintain the A/C unit in the future. I opted to purchase Goettl's maintenance agreement which saved me money (on the spot)- an easy decision- and replace broken parts. Technician was very fast with the repairs, and my A/C was up and cooling. I really appreciated his advice on how to better maintain (my compressor) and may opt to upgrade it in the near future (I had already researched a soft-start kit). Technician provided an outstanding report/ photos of the repairs along with bill for services rendered (very detailed) and easy payment via credit card. Technician turned an anxious two hours into a very positive experience, and I am thankful knowing that I can count on him and the Goettl family to handle any A/C or plumbing issues I may have in the future. Goettl has earned my trust. Definite recommend.

Ralph Martinez was the plumber who installed the water softener and water filter at our house. He was professional and quickly installed the system. He then provided a thorough walk through of how to use and care for the system.

Dylan came to my house to make sure my AC system was up to par. It was a great experience and he made us feel taken cared of. I would recommend Dylan and will be requesting him for future visits. We can’t have any animals in our home because my 3 year old son has asthma and Dylan was nice enough to give my son a stuff animal dog and a flashlight. Two things my son loves. Christian was awesome got me foxed same day quote was 1000 dollars less than another company tried to charge for same service. I can’t recommend them enough and def ask for Christian he is incredibly thorough whereas many wouldn’t have done the detailed work Christian did.

So I thought I needed a minor repair, when I told them that the AC wasn’t working they insisted on coming the next day. Well turned out to be a major repair and they were able to accomplish that the next day. Stacy Was very informative. Awesome service! Appreciate that after given an estimate I was given option to supply the parts and just pay for installation of a new thermostat. That worked best for me and scheduling was immediate once I got the thermostat. Brandon was friendly and knowledgeable did a great job!

My ac went out this morning. Called Goettl and they had a tech out within 3 hours. Jarrett was very helpful and informative. He got the system back up and running in a couple hours. First of all, the repair technician arrived at my home much sooner than expected … especially because it was an after hours call. I really appreciated that. Joc was professional, courteous, and thorough. After his examination of the leak, it was determined that the problem was more serious than expected. He explained the issue in detail and then reached out to his manager to complete the matter. I would not hesitate to call Goettl in the future for my plumbing and HVAC maintenance and repair needs.

We were beyond impressed with the customer service and service we received. We contacted them about our AC needing repaired as we had been unable to troubleshoot the problem. They rearranged their schedule and had a technician to our house in less than an hour. It required extensive testing to figure out the problem. He thought he was going to have to come back the next day to do the repairs as it was late however he was determined to get it running for us that day due to the heat and successfully got our AC running that evening. In addition, the company followed up the next morning to make sure everything was running smoothly! So impressed! Thank you for rescuing us!

We had Mason out last week. We was on-time, polite, knowledgeable and quick. He helped us get our AC unit back up and running in no time! Thanks Mason!!

My house is a Goettl house. ROBERT B came to replace the hoses on my water softener. Robert was very knowledgeable. He told me that the chlorine in the water damages the water softener. That same day MASON came to install my new water softner. It was a bundle so I was given a free reverse osmosis water filter unit. It's under my sink with its own separate faucet. Its so cool because they connected it to my refrigerator so now I don't have to buy filters. MASON was very friendly with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable. Mason had originally came to rejuvenate my ac units. It turned out that my AC units were on there way out. I had the option to have them rebuilt or replaced. I just purchased 2 new units. They have a plan level for everyone. Mason even helped me complete my financing paperwork. 8 am this morning TAYLOR and ANTHONY came to install the new units. They were here 10 1/2 hours. Taylor and Anthony were amazing. These Goettl technicians work so hard. If I had to walk up and down my stairs as many times as they did while carrying all that equipment, I'd have passed out. KEN in the office is the man that holds it all together. Don't be fooled by all the HVAC commercials and ads. Go with Goettl. If I didn't have confidence in Goettl I wouldn't have spent $60,000 (1/2 cash and financed the rest) on new AC units and a water softener.

Owen came out on my Routine air-conditioning maintenance and identified some problems with some arching and a leak and he was able to replace my capacitor and add more Freon to my unit. Owen was very thorough and explaining what the concerns were and showing me photos and it was very personable impatient! I appreciated his service and my air conditioner is running better than ever.

Matthew epitomized Goettl’s “we do things the right way.” He showed up on time, and spent 1 1/2 hours inspecting all aspects of the system. He then reviewed with me all of the photos and data to understand the state of our system and gave me options for improved system care. I highly recommend this personable and professional technician as I will be requesting him in the future.

We recently had both of our AC units replaced, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and made the whole process quick and easy. Our experience with Juan Gil was outstanding. He came to our home after regular business hours and went above and beyond what we expected. Not only did he clear our clogged kitchen sink, he also took the initiative to scope our sewer line and even identified a leak in our guest bathroom toilet. We had our appointment last week, and while we haven’t completed the work yet, I wanted to leave a review based on the assessment, estimating and scheduling experience so far because it stood out. After dealing with a stressful and complicated plumbing situation and getting multiple opinions, Brent was the most thorough person that came out. He took the time to understand the situation, explain what he was seeing, and walk through options without pressure or scare tactics. I especially appreciated the discussion around what needed to be addressed now versus what could reasonably wait, along with the pros and cons of each approach. The service manager and scheduling process were also responsive, clear, and easy to work with. The estimate felt thoughtful and straightforward, and pricing felt fair for the scope discussed.

I’ve used Goettl for Plumbing multiple times. Brent took the time to really explain what he was doing and why. Will absolutely request him moving forward!

Three days after moving into a new house our AC stopped working. Went to Goettl’s website and was able to schedule an appointment in the middle of the night for the next day. Saul arrived during the appointment window. He was kind and professional and answered all of my questions. He assessed and fixed the issue and we had our AC back by lunch. A little expensive but definitely recommend.

The other day we had to have our existing indoor unit reinstalled due to a loud noise. Two gentleman, Jose and D, worked on our unit and did some clean up in our attic. Brent did a great job helping me out with some issues I was having at my house. I originally called him to service my water softener system as it was malfunctioning and I didn’t have soft water. He was able to diagnose the problem straight away. As it turns out my pressure reducing valve at the street was the culprit. After attempting to locate it we found out that the home builder never properly protected it when it was installed as they just buried it without a valve box. Brent had to dig up a good part of the ground around my meter box just to find it. When he tried shutting off the water using the homeowner shutoff valve the handle snapped right off as it had been buried with the PRV and had rusted through. I looked at the original builders install and it was a mess. A bunch of random 90 degree bends in the pipes for no reason. Brent ended up having to replace the irrigation shutoff valve as well. After all this the water pressure in my house (which was reading at 30 PSI, way too low and had been a problem my wife and I were dreading calling someone out to diagnose and fix) increased by 30 PSI. Not only did the water softener start working properly, but we were finally able to get enough pressure in the house to have more than one person shower at a time! While he was ensuring all the faucets and plumbing fixtures were working properly after the repairs he noticed that our garbage disposal was leaking (a problem my wife and I knew about and that I had already purchased a replacement but hadn’t got around to installing) and was able to install a new one for me in no time. The peace of mind that we have knowing that Brent installed and repaired everything properly will keep us coming back to Goettl for our plumbing needs. I couldn’t be happier with the way this whole situation was able to get resolved. He showed up early, was extremely professional the entire time, helped educate me as a homeowner showing me some tips on how to ensure my system was working to the best of its ability. What I anticipated as an hour or two repair turned into an all day affair, but Brent was able to work the problem so efficiently and effectively that me and my family were only out of water for around 30 minutes. Brent was professional and communicated with us through the whole process making us feel well informed about everything that was going on. He was very transparent with all of the pricing on what needed to be done along with potential contingencies that could arise due to the nature of the problem we were having. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience throughout. What started out as a minor problem turned out to be a much larger one. With Brent’s help it turned in to a minor inconvenience and peace of mind knowing my home plumbing system will be working properly for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend Brent if you are having plumbing issues. If any of the higher ups are reading this, give him a raise. I will definitely be coming back and recommending your company to everyone I know that has plumbing issues due to my experience with Brent.

Robert provided great service. This company and Robert saved me from being ripped off by the other plumbing vendor, let me explain. Right from the jump, I called this company to help me out of a bad situation. The person on the phone was kind enough to listen as I was stressed and got Robert out within like 30-40 minutes. That part was shocking already. But I literally had another plumber at the house from another company, who was called out(scheduled) to flush the water heater and fix a faucet issue in the upstairs tub. Hours later after this other company failed to go to the store and buy the correct cartridge for the faucet (a second wasteful trip), and he still struggled to fix it and put the faucet back on correctly, they were claiming of some blow out issue to the house and emergency plumbing repairs were needed at a price of estimated $8,000 to $15,000. First thing i thought was, how did i get in this nightmare. Is this similar to that whole taxi cab scam of longhauling. Thankfully , Robert showed up as the other vendor/plumber did not want to stick around. Would you believe they even left without me paying any fees and they said they would work that out with me later. Robert then shows, hears my issues and what not, fixes the faucet upstairs, tests the water levels, cleans out the little screens inside the end of the faucets, even fixed a small issue with the toilet tank that kept running that I was unaware of as he investigated the house thoroughly, spent over 2 hours helping to flush out the water lines and restore everything I really needed. He even confirmed that another vendor I use for the water osmosis filters and who handles the water softener (and a suggested replacement by many), he confirms if I can get that vendor out there the next day for the price they were quoting, I should do it. Now that is building trust. He even advised me on the better option to the unit that is better for me and the house, again, not their service and not benefitting from that other vendor doing the work. Utlimately, Robert saved me from a wasteful expense to another vendor, who was trying to rip me off. Shameful that this occurs, but glad to know not every business is like this. Go with Robert and Goettl servicing. Ps, they charged me nothing for this initial consultation and work performances. They are establishing a quality business relationship and advised me on steps i may need for the house going forward, without pressure, giving me time to evaluate.

This was actually the second air conditioning company I called in the past two week. The first, D & H Heating and Cooling, charged me a $480 and didn’t fix the issue. I had my HVAC serviced today by Kevin. He was fast, friendly and professional. Kevin showed me pictures he had taken of my system, showing external ducting that had collapsed. We then connected with Jeromy to setup all the details. Ductwork to be repaired tomorrow. The water heater was found to be leaking and needed to be replaced. That too will be done tomorrow. Yesterday we had a plumbing inspection, which was part of our Sadie membership and Blair was our technician. He was so thorough, helpful and informative. He put us at ease with what our system look like and also was able to show us things that needed to address. He was able to give us quotes for the future work that should be completed. They didn’t pressure us to rush into anything. Blair is a great representative of Goettl. We are always so pleased with their technicians , management team and their customer service team as well.

Troy was amazing! He came to look at our HVAC system thermostat. It has not been working properly. He spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting the thermostat. Couldn’t find anything really wrong. Just to be certain, he replaced the inner workings of the hard-wired thermostat. He encouraged us to call again if it continues to malfunction. He was on time, professional and courteous. So this review is is for service over the past year. A short history. A few years ago, we had four seasons put in a new furnace. After checking around and getting tons of estimates, there was as much as a $10,000 difference between all of the estimates. Four seasons came in at the best price. Unfortunately, I ordered an 80,000 BTU furnace and when the guy was done, I looked at the furnace and saw that it was a 60,000 BTU. I showed the guy the invoice and basically his response was ‘ Oh crap’ so I talk to the manager and he assured me that 60,000 BTU would heat my home sufficiently since it was a high-efficiency unit. I was ready to have them tear it out and put the right one in, when the manager guaranteed the furnace and gave me the price for the 60 KBTU with a substantial discount. I did the regular maintenance and service service with four seasons. When Goettl took over, I’m not sure if they just change the name, or bought four seasons, but everything changed after that. First I was informed of a membership called Sadie which is basically a yearly/monthly fee that allows us to get a lot of benefits. Free service calls, free, free preventative maintenance and discounts on non-covered items. The first thing that I noticed was Josh came in to do a service, check the pressure and saw that the original installation guy did not convert my furnace to propane. Apparently none of the other service people ever checked the pressure. He had to return with the correct parts and changed out the valve. He also helped me out with a bathroom heating duct that was ripped. The price was great and he said he felt bad that we had such issues with the previous company. A few months later (last Saturday) we stopped getting heat. I called Goettl let them know, and they were at my house within two hours. When it’s freezing outside or going to be subzero it’s really important when they respond so quickly. Chris was the technician and he found the problem, however, the plumbing supply company was not open till Monday morning. Two days with sub, freezing temperatures scaring me a bit. Chris said that he would check with Dispatch and see if they had a couple of space heaters. When he was leaving, he noticed we had a bunch of firewood on the front and he offered to help bring firewood in. I told him no problem we had it, he said he was happy to help us. Make sure we had enough firewood to get through two days. These two offers, were above and beyond in something you really wouldn’t expect from your HVAC people. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any space heaters at Dispatch, so we went to Home Depot and got some radiator heaters and then yes 24 hours a day kept a fire going. Chris showed up Monday about 11 AM with the parts and it took him about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix all of the problems. I’m not savvy with all of the HVAC terms, but something about condensate water bill backed up through the system blah blah blah… we now have heat. lol. Getting the Sadie member membership/club was the best thing we decided to do. They call us regularly to schedule our summer and winter maintenance. They are responsive. And they are very polite every time I call them. I really would recommend you contacting them and get on that membership before you actually need them. Thank you, Josh and chris and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the female technician that came out and changed our filters but she was awesome also!

Had water coming through the wall all of a sudden one day. Robert Burrer from Goettl showed up and was very helpful, informative, and very respectful! This is how a service/install company should work. Price was exactly as quoted and was very fair, comparing to multiple others. They never tried to add on extras like all the others did. Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time. Best for last, the system works perfectly and is super quiet Why can't more companies do business like this.
