I would not recommend Goettl based on my experience.

I purchased their top-tier 4-star, two-stage system on June 13, 2026 after being advised that repairing my 11-year-old unit wasn't worthwhile. The system was installed the same day, but it failed within 24 hours.

Since installation, we've had six service calls. Different technicians have blamed low refrigerant, a frozen coil, zoning, a failed TXV valve, and a control board issue. Parts have been replaced, refrigerant has been added twice, yet the system still shuts down or fails to cool our home reliably. Despite repeatedly stating the unit was "working at 100%," it continued to malfunction.

The most frustrating part has been the lack of accountability. When I asked why a brand-new system was already low on refrigerant and requested a leak test, I was told one wasn't necessary. The technician then left without repairing the system after saying our conversation was "verbally abusive," even though no profanity or personal insults were used. He also left my attic access panel damaged.

We've missed two days of work, had to leave our home because of the heat, and spent nights sleeping in our toy hauler. Management has offered no meaningful resolution beyond continuing to troubleshoot with the manufacturer.

A brand-new HVAC system should not require this many service calls in its first two weeks. If you're looking for a reliable installation and responsive customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

My downstairs AC unit kept shutting off repeatedly and I had to keep suctioning the condensation line with my shop vac just to get it running again. Earlier this week, I called another highly rated company out. They came, did essentially the exact same thing I had already been doing myself, blew into the pipe, said because it was bubbling it wasn’t clogged, and left. Even after I explained that there had to be a bigger issue or a better solution than me having to shop vac the line every few days, they offered me a $1,600 estimate for a condensation pump. Hard pass.
After continuing to deal with the same issue all week and having to suction the line multiple more times, I decided to call Goettl. They had Alex Nelson at my house within 2–3 hours, and the difference in service was immediately noticeable. Unlike the previous company, Alex actually seemed knowledgeable and thorough. He quickly identified that my line was severely clogged, drained both of my units, tested everything both inside and outside, and stayed to make sure the AC continued running properly before leaving.
I’m extremely pleased with the fast response time, professionalism, and the fact that Alex actually took the time to diagnose and fix the real problem instead of offering an expensive, unnecessary solution.

I can’t even give these guys one star. I have been on their maintenance plan for a couple of years and all they want to do is come out and upsell me. I had my water heater Stop working and they came out and quoted me $6200 to change it. This is a $600 water heater and even with all the parts that you can change on it would not be $1000. This company is in it for the rip off not to try to help. I would not recommend these guys do anything for you?

Not a well run company and will take your money, regardless if they service you or not. Needed to dispute charges for a no show appointment. Earlier in the month we scheduled for someone to come out and check on our A/C and see if a tune up was needed. They confirmed a 3 hour window during the day and it already passed that time we were given. That was the first frustration as we had to wait around with NO updates given if someone was coming still or running late - so we called to cancel. The person we spoke to said no problem that they will reverse the charge (yes they already charged us in advance). A week later we noticed that the charge was in fact not reversed and we were fully charged with the full amount. Ridiculous!! We called again, and this time we were told that they needed to reach out to the 'sales manager' to get it reversed/refunded. Yet another week passes by and no changes to the charge, still there. We called again one last time and was told the information was going to be passed along (what?). Now here we are 3 weeks later disputing with our credit card company. Worst service and these guys will take your money no matter what. Looking at the other reviews, they seem to want to milk people for unnecessary services as well. Beware, I do not recommend. What a waste of time and so far, money as well.

I have been using Goettl A/C and heating now for a few years now, and have been very please with their professionalism. They truly care about the customer and that's rare these days. My water softener went out and needed to be replaced, and Brent the plumber came out and helped me choose the correct softener for my home needs. There are several factors to consider in this kind of decision, but Brent made it very clear. Then Elias and Austin showed up a few days later to install the new softener. Wow!! What a great job they did. Benjamin their manager also assisted me in in helping me finance my unit at 0% APR!! This was awesome and much appreciated! Thank you Team Goettl for having the customer as PRIORITY ONE!! As a side note, I also love their service payment plan. Talk about making things easy!! A lot of perks come with that program. Goettle is the clear winner in my book!!!

Follow up: There was a small leak in one of the copper fittings in my new water softener install, but I called Goettl on a Sunday and Jeran was able to come back the next day and fix the leak at no cost. He also replaced the bathroom faucets at the same time and saved us both a separate appointment!

This place is awful!!!
It took 3, THREE plumbers to figure out how to install a piece of plastic in between the pipes, the first guy pretended he installed it. They insisted on replacing my faucet even though it was fine, but I thought fine whatever they promised a comparable one. It's not comparable. Ours was a nice brushed nickel with no magnet pieces. Theirs is a piece of crap where the handle has already fallen off!!
And that's just the plumbing!
For air conditioning they were supposed to be out between 2pm and 4pm, the guy wasn't going to be here until past 6 pm, and they wouldn't reschedule until I explained that it was past 6 pm, and I have to be up at 4 am.
Then when you call, you get AI instead of a real person.
This company is the worst I've ever dealt with and they pretend to be the best and overcharge. They pretend to give you discounts but we all know the discounts are fake as they make up the prices themselves.
I'll never use them again!

Today Alek Delarosa installed 6 new cartridges (hot & cold sides) on 3 bathroom faucets. He also installed a new kitchen sink faucet. He arrived on time and got right to work. After the work was finished, he took time to inspect the work (👍)w/me and share some plumbing tips.

Alek had come the day before only to find that the replacement cartridges I had were incorrect & that the kitchen faucet needed to be rebuilt or replaced. Alek took time to provide me with the information I needed to get the correct cartridges & purchase the new kitchen faucet which he installed today.

This is the second time in the past several months that I’ve used Goettl (previously for sewer repairs). Both experiences exceeded my expectations & I highly recommend this company.

I was impressed with Judd. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He introduced himself when he came to the door. He replaced the valves for the water shut off and the irrigation lines. He explained what he was doing, pointed out the damaged parts and replaced them. After completing the job he took the time to go over what he did and answered my questions before he left. Great communication and they actually took the time to make sure things were done right. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. If I’m going to spend $2500.00, that is what I expect. I had hired Greenwize A/C and plumbing and the owner told me it was my toilet bowl wax rings. The problem still existed. Obviously they did not know what they were doing. Setup my appointment at 9:30pm on a Sunday, when our water heater stopped working. They called me the next morning to confirm. They called back a couple hours later to let me know that they had an opening in their schedule and they could send someone earlier. They were there within 30mins. They assessed the situation and recommended that we replace the water heater, which I knew would be the case as it was leaking out the casing. They presented several options from about $3k-$15k installed. We chose to go in the middle. Another technician picked up the parts that they needed and showed up to replace the water heater. It took him a while, but he was professional and and cleaned the area so well, that you couldn't tell he even did anything, except that the water heater was shiny and new.

No one wants to deal with a freak water heater replacement, but if you have to it should be as easy as possible. I think Goettl is a little more expensive than some others, but they work professionally and take care of everything for you.

Update: From my water heater service, I got a free HVAC service. They came and checked the system over, and gave me some recommendations. I ultimately decided not to proceed with the suggestions today, but all service was very professional. They are very respectful of your home, and take a lot of care to not get anything dirty. Again, I would recommend Goettl for fast professional services for your HVAC or plumbing.

I was having problems with my HVAC and had someone come to look at it, they told me the whole thing needed to be replaced for about $7000. Called another company for a second opinion, the other tech came in looked at it for 30 seconds and diagnosed that the wires were put together wrong. So either the Goettl Tech is a scam artist or incompetent, either way. Never use Goettl

We were beyond impressed with the customer service and service we received. We contacted them about our AC needing repaired as we had been unable to troubleshoot the problem. They rearranged their schedule and had a technician to our house in less than an hour. It required extensive testing to figure out the problem. He thought he was going to have to come back the next day to do the repairs as it was late however he was determined to get it running for us that day due to the heat and successfully got our AC running that evening. My house is a Goettl house. ROBERT B came to replace the hoses on my water softener. Robert was very knowledgeable. He told me that the chlorine in the water damages the water softener. That same day MASON came to install my new water softner. It was a bundle so I was given a free reverse osmosis water filter unit. It's under my sink with its own separate faucet. Its so cool because they connected it to my refrigerator so now I don't have to buy filters. MASON was very friendly with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable. Mason had originally came to rejuvenate my ac units. It turned out that my AC units were on there way out. I had the option to have them rebuilt or replaced. I just purchased 2 new units. They have a plan level for everyone. Mason even helped me complete my financing paperwork.
8 am this morning TAYLOR and ANTHONY came to install the new units. They were here 10 1/2 hours. Taylor and Anthony were amazing. These Goettl technicians work so hard. If I had to walk up and down my stairs as many times as they did while carrying all that equipment, I'd have passed out.
KEN in the office is the man that holds it all together. Don't be fooled by all the HVAC commercials and ads. Go with Goettl. If I didn't have confidence in Goettl I wouldn't have spent $60,000 (1/2 cash and financed the rest) on new AC units and a water softener.
