What Is Causing My Air Conditioner to Blow Warm Air?

When ice builds up on the evaporator coil of your air conditioning system, it acts as an insulator. This prevents the refrigerant being evaporated in this coil from successfully removing heat from the air surrounding it, which in turn puts more strain on your home cooling system. That can lead you to pay more for a lesser performance from your AC, while also increasing the risk of damages. While a very dirty air filter, which you can replace yourself, could lead to this problem, it could also be the result of refrigerant leaks. Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Jesus Gloria was out within a few hours. I was called to confirm the appointment window. Then texted with the photo attached so I would know who my technician was and the link to track their arrival. Jesus was so professional and explained everything to make sure I understood. He took photos and videos to make sure I could see what he was talking about. Then showed me the photos after the repairs. I am so impressed with this experience. The company very clearly communicates how important customer satisfaction is to them. A+++ service and Jesus did an amazing job. I will definitely consider their maintenance plan in the future which also includes routine plumbing inspections and flushing for the same price other companies charge for HVAC services alone.

I called Goettl to get a second opinion on a/c repair options or replacement. Peter Medelez conducted a very thorough system check and confirmed all the same issues previously identified but found an additional issue; tipping the scale to full replacement.
