Should I Cool My Home with a Heat Pump?
Considering the fact that we are already dealing with triple digit temperatures, and have been for a few weeks, you probably are not just now thinking about an air conditioning installation. If your air conditioner has given out on your, though, or if you have a planned replacement coming up, we encourage you to explore your options and to consider the many different air conditioning systems available for installation in your home. Yes, traditional split central air conditioners are still the most popular systems around. Others are growing more and more popular, though, and using a heat pump in Tucson, AZ can actually benefit you in a few unique ways.
What Is the Heat Pump Difference?
During our very long, very hot cooling season, you are going to be running your air conditioner pretty much around the clock. When summer is in session, the heat pump will operate much like a split central air conditioner. Refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator coil, and heat in the air surrounding that coil is removed. This refrigerant then completes its cycle, making its way out to the condenser coil and being dispersed into the air surrounding it. It is the heat pump’s ability to reverse this operation, though, which truly sets it apart.
You read that right. A heat pump can actually reverse its entire operation. The system essentially sends refrigerant in the opposite direction, reversing the function of its coils, as well. When you need to heat your home, the heat pump will actually use the refrigerant cycle in order to draw heat out of the air outside. This refrigerant is then compressed, and its thermal energy used to heat air for distribution throughout your home. Because we require so little in the way of heating, this convenient and efficient heating performance is ideal for our climate.

Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.

We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.

My technician Jorge (George) Gutierrez was out today performing the a/c system check. He did a fabulous job and identified significant issues and concerns for the longevity of my current 12 year old system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on what my options are and in the end I’ll be getting a new system instead of worrying about the current system failing in our extremely hot temperatures. He was very respectful of my home and my dog was ecstatic to meet him.
Frank identified the need for new faucets in the master bath and discussed my preferences. The type of faucet being replaced is no longer available (mini wide spread) so he had to do some research to come up with a solution. Had to be ordered, not surprisingly, and we appreciate his conscientious performance.
