What makes AquaChill different from my current air conditioner?

The standard air conditioner is an “air-source” system: it uses the air as the medium for the heat exchange it carries out to cool down your home. The refrigerant in the AC extracts heat from inside a home, making the interior cooler; it then moves that heat and releases it to the outside. However, the hotter the temperature, the more energy an air conditioner must expend to cool a home to a comfortable level—and in Phoenix’s blistering highs, an AC can need to strain an enormous amount.

An AquaChill resembles the standard air conditioner in most ways. It also cycles refrigerant, and it uses a compressor to change the refrigerant into a high-pressure gas that will move through the system. However, AquaChill also employs water—similar to an evaporative or swamp cooler, although it is not actually a swamp cooler—to aid the cooling. An AquaChill uses a water spray to pre-cool the outdoor condenser coils so that the air conditioner will more rapidly cool down a home. Essentially, the water gives the AC a “head start” so it won’t need to run as long to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. And it doesn’t add any excess moisture into your home the way that swamp coolers do, because water is only used on the outside coil.

Original order of checking thermostat. And why heat would not kick on right away
It was taking several degrees to heat up the house. Air conditioning works great.
He went and checked thermostat and suggested a new thermostat. $800 for two installed. 👀
He then checked furnace in attic.
The fresh air exchanger was pretty dusty and he could clean it for under a hundred $. I said go ahead because exchanger runs ten minutes per hour to keep fresh air circulating. So price was $99. Still a lot for cleaning a screen.
It seemed to have worked in conjunction with thermostat because it’s been working properly since he left.
Im glad I didn’t spend $800. But only $228 .

I'm reviewing Goettl’s maintenance inspections for HVAC and plumbing. Chris was our HVAC specialist, he was very thorough and pointed out some new things on the app. Chris’ inspection revealed we had mold in our plenum, in the early stages. He gave us options, including the nil option, the maintenance and inspection were free. Pablo arrived in the window that was promised. He was very efficient when something wasn’t working quite right. He found another workaround to inspect my heating system. He cleaned off the firing point with sandpaper as I’ve seen many other technicians. Do he inspected everything took pictures of everything and sent the pictures to me. He asked if I would be interested in a price on a new system. I told him not at this time there was no hard sell. My system is now 21 years old. I plan to replace the heater and air conditioner, but not for another few years. I found four seasons to be excellent and Goettl to be just as good.

Today, Rodell did a thorough clean-out of our bathroom sink drains, including sending the camera down to check for build up out to the main connection to the sewer. This was included in our membership with no extra charge. He and his partner also found the mystery leak in the guest bathroom toilet and replaced the guts and seals. The thing I liked the best was his advice about maintenance and how that little hole in the sink is a real drain that also needs flushing out by letting the sink fill up periodically. We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. When they delivered it, they said they could not install the water line. We were not familiar with plumbers so we asked our neighbor who did the plumbing in his new shower. He said Goettl and he was very happy with the results. I called them they sent out a wonderful servicemen, Gerardo Gonzalez. The builders had used 3/8” pipes and Lowe’s seemed to only have 1/4” connectors. Gerardo solved our problem and we had to get Lowe’s out again the next day to finish the install. We highly recommend Goettl and appreciate the caliber of their staff!

This is how a service/install company should work. Price was exactly as quoted and was very fair, comparing to multiple others. They never tried to add on extras like all the others did. Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time. We have been Sadi club members for years. The service is excellent from the customer service representatives that answer the phone to the individual technicians that come out to your home. Two years ago we replaced our AC unit and went with a Goettl installation after years of having them maintain our older unit.

We called on a Saturday and thankfully Christian Acosta was the one on call to help us out.
