GOETTL AND KRNV NEWS LAUNCH “4 DEGREE GUARANTEE” TO GIVE BACK TO LOCAL COMMUNITY

Every month, the “4 Degree Guarantee” will support a local nonprofit organization in Reno and Sparks.


RENO, Nev., February 5, 2024 — Goettl Air Conditioning, Heating, and Plumbing—a leading HVAC and plumbing company in Reno—is thrilled to unveil its brand new “4 Degree Guarantee” partnership with KRNV News 4, marking a significant collaboration that will not only bring a bit of fun and chance to weather predictions but also contribute to the local Reno and Sparks communities.

Starting in this month, the Weather Authority team at KRNV Channel 4 will engage in the “4 Degree Guarantee” challenge daily during the 4 p.m. news broadcast. The team will predict tomorrow’s high temperature at the Reno Tahoe Airport, and if their prediction is within 4 degrees, Goettl and News 4 will make a generous donation to a selected nonprofit organization for that month.

For the month of January, Goettl has chosen to support The Children’s Cabinet, a Nevada nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical services and resources to children and families in need. This initiative reflects Goettl’s commitment to making a positive impact on the community and supporting organizations that make a difference.

It was taking several degrees to heat up the house. Air conditioning works great.
He went and checked thermostat and suggested a new thermostat. $800 for two installed. 👀
He then checked furnace in attic.
The fresh air exchanger was pretty dusty and he could clean it for under a hundred $. I said go ahead because exchanger runs ten minutes per hour to keep fresh air circulating. So price was $99. Still a lot for cleaning a screen.
It seemed to have worked in conjunction with thermostat because it’s been working properly since he left.
Im glad I didn’t spend $800. But only $228 .

I still think prices are very high. You can buy and install a thermostat yourself for $175. With a $75 rebate. That’s quite a difference.

I'm reviewing Goettl’s maintenance inspections for HVAC and plumbing. Chris was our HVAC specialist, he was very thorough and pointed out some new things on the app. Chris’ inspection revealed we had mold in our plenum, in the early stages. He gave us options, including the nil option, the maintenance and inspection were free. Kudos to Brent , our plumbing specialist came back the same day when we blew out our disposal, after he had left. I have a 13-year-old home that has aging utilities. I depend on Goettl to maintain and informed me about my utilities condition.

Pablo arrived in the window that was promised. He was very efficient when something wasn’t working quite right. He found another workaround to inspect my heating system. He cleaned off the firing point with sandpaper as I’ve seen many other technicians. Do he inspected everything took pictures of everything and sent the pictures to me. He asked if I would be interested in a price on a new system. I told him not at this time there was no hard sell. My system is now 21 years old. Today, Rodell did a thorough clean-out of our bathroom sink drains, including sending the camera down to check for build up out to the main connection to the sewer. This was included in our membership with no extra charge. He and his partner also found the mystery leak in the guest bathroom toilet and replaced the guts and seals. The thing I liked the best was his advice about maintenance and how that little hole in the sink is a real drain that also needs flushing out by letting the sink fill up periodically. We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. When they delivered it, they said they could not install the water line. We were not familiar with plumbers so we asked our neighbor who did the plumbing in his new shower. He said Goettl and he was very happy with the results. I called them they sent out a wonderful servicemen, Gerardo Gonzalez. The builders had used 3/8” pipes and Lowe’s seemed to only have 1/4” connectors. Gerardo solved our problem and we had to get Lowe’s out again the next day to finish the install. We highly recommend Goettl and appreciate the caliber of their staff!

This is how a service/install company should work. Price was exactly as quoted and was very fair, comparing to multiple others. They never tried to add on extras like all the others did. Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time. We have been Sadi club members for years. The service is excellent from the customer service representatives that answer the phone to the individual technicians that come out to your home. Two years ago we replaced our AC unit and went with a Goettl installation after years of having them maintain our older unit.
This past week our service technician was Andrew Morgan and he is such a friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled technician. We called on a Saturday and thankfully Christian Acosta was the one on call to help us out. Jerry also noticed our water pressure was low after flushing toilet then trying to wash hands in bathroom sink which were so he suggested a new pressure regulator as we have had a new better water conditioning system installed. We now have the best water pressure even when using a shower and kitchen sink faucet at the same time. Also Jerry is a master plumber and we appreciate his knowledge and experience. Had a gas line in my home that needed repair. Goettl was quick to send a technician that night even though it was well past business hours. Chris came over and gave us a quote. He made sure we knew our payment options and thoroughly explained what the repair was going to be like and the steps we needed to take with the gas company.
