What Makes a Heat Pump Such a Great Investment?

As with any major investment, you want to know for certain that you are going to get a great return from your HVAC system. When you invest in a heat pump, this is more or less guaranteed. For starters, your heat pump is the only HVAC system that you are going to need. You can use it to cool your home during the summer, just as you would a traditional central air conditioner. In the winter, though, the cooling process is reversed, and the heat pump absorbs heat from the air outside, compresses its refrigerant, and uses its thermal energy in order to heat the house.

Because the heat pump uses this heat transfer process in order to heat homes, it is also able to heat those homes very efficiently. Only a small amount of electricity is used in the process, and no heat is actually generated. Essentially, the heat pump just moves heat around, and concentrates it during the heating process.

One important thing to remember, though, is to protect your investment. Your heat pump is basically doing twice the amount of work of a traditional heater and air conditioner. With that in mind, you should schedule bi-annual, as opposed to annual, heat pump maintenance.

Goettl is not cheap, although their service visit is very inexpensive, their quotes are almost always considerably higher. The service from an employee like Gilbert, however, is the sole reason why I would even consider entertaining a higher cost.

Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Like most people, I typically search for the cheapest service I can find, and I end up having other plumbers come out to check out issues with my tankless water heater, who run their mouths, upsell parts (that don't seem to be causing the problem), and generally don't really know enough about tankless water heaters. This time, I decided to go with an experienced company with a good reputation, and I am glad that I did - Goettl's prices are very reasonable and worth the service they provide.

Juan, was very knowledgeable, patient, and persistent. Even better, he was careful and humble enough to acknowledge that he didn't know everything and checked with the manufacturer at every step. Juan spent a great deal of time helping me diagnose the problem (which always seems impossible to ascertain quickly with machines like tankless water heaters), and went above and beyond to ensure that my guests and I had hot water tonight.

Juan never got frustrated; he handled everything carefully and made sure to clean up after himself when he was done. If I can have Juan take care of all of my plumbing or AC issues in the future, I will. And if you're reading reviews to decide whether to call Goettl for your issue, I would encourage you to trust their service and experience. My experience with Juan was definitely memorable.

We now have hot water again. Can I get a "hell yeah"?

The thing I liked the best was his advice about maintenance and how that little hole in the sink is a real drain that also needs flushing out by letting the sink fill up periodically. We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. When they delivered it, they said they could not install the water line. We were not familiar with plumbers so we asked our neighbor who did the plumbing in his new shower. He said Goettl and he was very happy with the results. I called them they sent out a wonderful servicemen, Gerardo Gonzalez. The builders had used 3/8” pipes and Lowe’s seemed to only have 1/4” connectors. Gerardo solved our problem and we had to get Lowe’s out again the next day to finish the install. We highly recommend Goettl and appreciate the caliber of their staff!

Installation day was when they said it would be. They scheduled the building permit, attended the inspection, and it was on time.
