Why Are There Hot Spots in My House?

Here in Las Vegas, it should really go without saying that we need to have great air conditioners installed in our homes. The weather around here is way too hot for way too much of the year to take any chances with the overall quality of our home cooling systems. That is exactly why it is so frustrating and so alarming to discover that there are problems of any kind with our air conditioners in Las Vegas, NV.

One issue that you may notice when cooling your home is that hot spots are popping up throughout your living space. Do not convince yourself that this is a normal situation. The whole point of using a whole-house air conditioner is to cool your whole house effectively and evenly, after all. Subpar Insulation

One major contender for the cause of hot spots in your home is subpar insulation in the affected areas. Insulation must be of the right R-value to successfully insulate your home. It cannot be deteriorated due to moisture exposure from leaks, and if it is chewed up by varmints then you are going to have trouble.

Let us know if your home has hot spots when you are trying to cool it, and we’ll figure out if it is the result of too little or too damaged insulation. If so, we can replace that insulation as needed. It may just be that more insulation is needed, too. Whatever the case, we’ll handle the job right.

Refrigerant Leaks

If your system is leaking refrigerant, then it is not going to be able to sufficiently cool the air that it must distribute throughout your home. That could lead to lukewarm air being distributed, and those areas farthest from the air handler may suffer the most. Refrigerant is not consumed by an air conditioner, but is recycled over and over, so low le.vels likely mean leaks.

Only a professional technician can seal these leaks and recharge the refrigerant in your system. We’ll make sure that a lasting solution is provided. We are not in the business of supplying bandages for the symptoms of underlying problems.

Damaged Air Ducts

Assuming that you use a ducted forced air air conditioning system, the culprit in this situation could be your air ducts themselves. If the ductwork servicing a particular area of the house is damaged, then it can lead conditioned air out. If it is located in an unconditioned area, it can also pull hot air into the system.

Don’t even think of going around and looking for leaks on your own. This is no job a DIY enthusiast armed with a roll of duct tape. We can thoroughly test and expertly seal your air ducts for you.

Add in personability, reasonability, and hard work and I could be happier.

Goettl is not cheap, although their service visit is very inexpensive, their quotes are almost always considerably higher. The service from an employee like Gilbert, however, is the sole reason why I would even consider entertaining a higher cost.

Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Jesus Gloria was out within a few hours. I was called to confirm the appointment window. Then texted with the photo attached so I would know who my technician was and the link to track their arrival. Jesus was so professional and explained everything to make sure I understood. He took photos and videos to make sure I could see what he was talking about. He was very professional and provided me with a thorough and accurate diagnosis. He patiently explained everything to me and walked me through the recommended repairs and even shared alternative solutions. I have the information I need and feel comfortable moving forward. I run an Airbnb with 5 rooms in my home, and my tankless water heater suddenly went out. In my case, this was an emergency, especially with the weather getting colder. Goettl ensured that a technician arrived within a few hours, and Juan Gil showed up in good spirits and ready to solve the puzzle.

Like most people, I typically search for the cheapest service I can find, and I end up having other plumbers come out to check out issues with my tankless water heater, who run their mouths, upsell parts (that don't seem to be causing the problem), and generally don't really know enough about tankless water heaters. This time, I decided to go with an experienced company with a good reputation, and I am glad that I did - Goettl's prices are very reasonable and worth the service they provide.

Juan, was very knowledgeable, patient, and persistent. Even better, he was careful and humble enough to acknowledge that he didn't know everything and checked with the manufacturer at every step. Juan spent a great deal of time helping me diagnose the problem (which always seems impossible to ascertain quickly with machines like tankless water heaters), and went above and beyond to ensure that my guests and I had hot water tonight.

Juan never got frustrated; he handled everything carefully and made sure to clean up after himself when he was done. If I can have Juan take care of all of my plumbing or AC issues in the future, I will. And if you're reading reviews to decide whether to call Goettl for your issue, I would encourage you to trust their service and experience. My experience with Juan was definitely memorable.

We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. When they delivered it, they said they could not install the water line. We were not familiar with plumbers so we asked our neighbor who did the plumbing in his new shower. He said Goettl and he was very happy with the results. I called them they sent out a wonderful servicemen, Gerardo Gonzalez. The builders had used 3/8” pipes and Lowe’s seemed to only have 1/4” connectors. Gerardo solved our problem and we had to get Lowe’s out again the next day to finish the install. We highly recommend Goettl and appreciate the caliber of their staff!
