How Does Zone Control Work?
A zone control system consists of a central control panel, multiple thermostats, and electronic dampers. The dampers are installed directly into the ductwork of your HVAC system, and wire into the central control panel. The thermostats are installed throughout the house, one in each designated temperature zone. When you adjust the thermostats, the corresponding dampers will adjust as well. They will either stem the flow of conditioned air to any given zone, or allow more to pass, depending upon what temperature you are aiming for. This allows you to maintain different temperatures throughout the house in different zones.
Benefits of Zone Controlled Cooling
There are a few ways in which zone controlled cooling can benefit you. First and foremost is the fact that you can live more comfortably in your home. Different people are comfortable at different temperatures, and you can eliminate arguments over temperature settings by maintaining different temperatures throughout your home with your zone control system. Also, because you don’t have to keep your entire home cooled to one set temperature, you can keep your living space comfortable without breaking the bank in the process. Call for more details.
